Who We Are

In addition to being Head Trainer at TLC Stables, CJ Millar utilizes her extensive equine background to evaluate horses for their owners to help them reach their full potential.  So many horses are adversely affected by improper saddle fit, lack of muscle tone, inadequate conditioning routines, and unidentified chiropractic, massage, and other musculoskeletal issues that impede their horse’s progress that their owners do not realize.

By utilizing her extensive knowledge and background of equine anatomy, physiology and performance, behavior, saddle fitting, and conformation analysis, CJ is able to assist owners in identifying how to get the most out of their mount and helps them make a happy equine partner.

What We Do

Hands on evaluations include a review of the horse on the ground for movement and flexion, back/joint issues and soreness, saddle fit, and movement on the longe and under saddle at all three gaits.  Based on the outcome of the evaluation, recommendations are made for proper saddle fit; equine professional as needed such as chiropractor, veterinarian, farrier, massage therapist; conditioning and workout plan; and bitting and tack suggestions based on the holistic needs of the horse.

Don’t worry if you’re too far away, CJ works with several Equi-Eval representatives across the the country (and even Canada!) to deliver both hands on reviews coupled with her eye via video & photo review.  She can also do limited evaluations via email.  Simply take videos of the horse moving, and pictures of saddle fit and submit for a review at a fraction of the price of a full hands on review!
