How to Submit Videos for Email Evaluations

In order for us to review your horse, several videos both with and without the saddle are necessary.  The horse should be put through all three gaits, in both directions first on the longe, and then under saddle.  On the longe, only a halter and lead should be used, and under saddle the horse’s normal tack and equipment should be used. 

Taking Videos

First, please be sure your horse is clean, groomed and trimmed and free of tack or equipment aside from a basic halter and line for longing.  For under saddle, please use all regular tack and equipment you would with the horse, and note this in the email submission as well as to why any additional items such as brushing boots, spurs, or what not are used.  The video should be taken in a well lit area by someone outside of the longing or riding circle.

1. •Videos should show the horse both approaching and moving away from the camera.  This will be easy with someone taking the video from outside the longing circle.  While riding, the person can take some video as the horse approaches them in a straight line, and some with the horse moving away from them in a straight line.
   

2. •Terrain should be level, such as a riding arena, as opposed to outside on uneven ground
   

3. •Any accessories or equipment, as well as bit type, should be noted in the email submission.
   

4. •Video clips should be no more than approximately 10 min each, and can be broken into smaller increments to make it easier to upload.
